Tenor, Jeffrey Burish, is a native Chicago icon whose credits include performances for South Shore Opera Company, Chicago Opera Theater, Goodman Theater and Dupage Opera Theater.  He has been engaged by Lyric Opera of Chicago for over 13 seasons and by the Chicago Symphony Chorus for three seasons, making appearances with them at Carnegie Hall and Ravinia.

His musical theater appearances include: Opryland USA, Nashville, TN in "I Hear America Singing It’s Song" and "A Dixie Melody", on the steamboat General Jackson. In opera he performed the role of Fenton in Verdi’s Falstaff under the direction of Harry Silverstein at DePaul University.

He was featured soloist in The Roland Hayes Legacy Project in Salt lake City and for the The South Shore opera Company 10 year  anniversary concert. A regional McCallister Award winner, he was also a recipient of the Vocal Music Scholarship from DePaul University and was a MET Competition semi-finalist. Burish's work includes performing with Peoples Music School’s Genesis Opera, a program which performs for the Chicago’s Public Schools, area Hospitals and Senior Citizen Centers. He serves as soloist at St Edmunds Episcopal Church, Ebenezer Baptist Church and with Chatham Choral Ensemble under the founding leadership of Maestro Charles T. Hayes.
