Renowned for his powerful and emotive performances, Kenneth Overton, hailed as a leading interpreter in all vocal repertoire, but especially African-American song traditions, brings his powerful and emotive voice to the works of composers such as Adolphus Hailstork, Florence Price, and H. Leslie Adams. His diverse repertoire includes leading opera roles, solo work with orchestra and music for chamber recital performance. Overton's masterful interpretations and deep emotional connection to the music create a multi-layered experience that leaves a lasting impact on listeners.
