Agnus Dei - Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.  

One way to see this movement is as a prayer to God by the individual to remove hatefulness and divisiveness out of their own heart.  We look at our own inner shame, regretfulness, disappointment, ingratitude . . . and allow God to take these things  that sow discontent, violence and war from us.  A call for self-healing.
